Hometown Families
We often hear back from new owners. They love to share their stories about their new Poodle and their human family! Below are just a few that we've received over the years.

I love this dog! They are the best of friends. --Deborah H.
I often log on to your website just to see the new faces of puppies when I have a bad day. Emma is great! I think that your breeding program has created a great facial structure in the pups that I have not seen on other poodles.--Christin C.
His name is Casey. He fits like an old shoe. His Vet. check was great, Vet says we got a good dog, but we knew that. Joe & Judy

Heidi, Just a short note to let you know that Nawty is doing great. We are so happy that we found you. Thank you so much! Phoebee & Dave
Here are some pics of Luca! I LOVE him! Thanks again for a wonderful poodle!--Franny O.
Our pictures really, really do not do her justice as she is a beauty. Also, she has a very mellow personality which is just perfect for an older couple like us. She has red bows in her ears and a red jeweled collar which doesn't show in the picture and she loves her huge yard to chase the rabbits and squirrels. We cannot thank you enough.--Suzanne & Steve Gardner

Last year in August, we went to see your dogs on a spur of the moment trip. We have been so happy with Sparky. He was 4 months when we came home with him and he has just grown and grown. I belong to the Kennel Club here in Dodge City and everyone is constantly remarking on what a beautiful dog we have. Of course we know that, but I always brag about where he is from. Our son turns 8 this weekend and wants to start 4-H. He already practices with Sparky at the Kennel Club. Sparky is more than twice his weight, but will obey Samuel on the agility training. It is so cool to watch. I've just gotten him to where he will do the high walk and the teeter totter. Big dogs have problems finding their back feet I am told. Sparky enjoys pulling the cart with our 3 year old daughter and our son. We are just so blessed to have him.--Claudette K.
Just dropping a line to let you know parker is doing WONDERFUL! He is a much loved addition to our family!! He is adjusting to town life just fine. My husband and I are fortunate to be loved by him! :)
I stumbled upon some pictures of Fred this morning and thought that you could use an update on him. He's right at 50 lbs now and about 25.5" at the shoulder. The sweetest dog you'll ever know. He thinks everyone is his friend (even if they growl at him).--Jacqueline L.

Hi Heidi! He is brilliant, loving, eager to please, and is growing into a wonderful dog. Its hard to remember he is still a puppy when he has exceeded all our expectations with regard to training. Granted you had him at walking and posing like a show dog when we bought him but he has learned so quickly. His coat is still in perfect shape. He loves being brushed and its like brushing a teddybear so everyone wants to do it for him. Many of our family doubted that a mature puppy would adapt and bond so readily. We always rub it in that its like he was ours from the beginning. I don't know how you manage to have all the puppies you do and yet they are so loving and so happy to be with their new owners. Way to go Heidi. God bless ~Tammy
Hello Heidi! Stella is doing great and she is the most amazing dog. She is so smart and lovs to play fetch and lay in her baby pool. She love to be outside when the sprinkler system comes on. She thinks it play time and runs through the water like a four year old child. She loves the other three dogs and her and my three pound Chihuahua, Pedro, are the best of friends. We enjoy her so much and she is everything we had hoped for. Thank you so much for the awesome addition to our family. There should be an attachment of her first haircut and the groomer said she was the best standard she had ever seen! Jarra
Hi, Heidi here are a few pictures of Zin. She is an awesome dog and we sure enjoy all the cute things she does and how fast she learns. I have her in training for showing but I will not start to show here until the end of june but I am excited to see how she does. Hope you enjoy the pictures.   Thanks, Karen

Thank you so much Heidi. Here are a few pictures of Onyx (Hometown's Magical Onyx Sunset) he's really fit into our family well , I've enclosed a few so you can choose which ones you'd like to keep or share. Thanks again, Jessica
Heidi, He stands out in a herd of Angus but it keeps him busy. Loves to run, has a sense of humor and is perpetually happy. He’s a good dog. He thinks he likes it here and we think we’ll keep him. Be a year next week. Bill and Santa
Heidi and Family, We have fallen in love with Nickie but have changed his name to Toby since we have Nikki’s in the family! He seems to like the name and is responding very well. He stays right with us even when we walked him all over our 5 acres. He is very well behaved and listens well; he has only had one accident in the house. He and one of our cats seem to have made friends but he is scared of the one who spits and hisses. (that cat tends to be spoiled anyway). I didn’t tell you that it was my birthday when I saw you and that Toby was my present, although I think he likes Dan best! Our family came out Saturday night for a birthday dinner and Toby played well with my daughter’s little Boston terrier. He has slept next to our bed without crying or having an accident. We are looking forward to taking Toby to obedience training. He is going to be great company – we are so thrilled! Pam D.

Heidi: I've been meaning to email you for some time to let you know how much we ADORE our puppy, Lizzie Lu. She truly is one of the best dogs I've ever owned. She is very mellow and loves hanging out with our family. She potty trained super fast, and has done great in puppy class. She is walking well on a leash, going through our new doggie door, and learning great tricks like shake and roll over. She is so sweet and has really helped heal my loss of my previous dog after 13 years. However, I am now sold on this breed and will never own anything but a standard poodle!!!
Hello Heidi! Elvis is the most amazing dog. He is so smart and loving and is definitely a mama's boy - he follows me everywhere . Elvis came to us right after we had lost our beloved 12 year old German Shepherd, King. In the year prior to losing King, I had lost my father, my brother and two of my best and oldest friends. I can't begin to tell you how much comfort and love Elvis has brought into our lives. He loves to snuggle and when I am feeling sad, I just wrap my arms around him and he will let me hug on him as long as I need to and just nuzzles me back. He is just over a year old now and I just measured him - he is about 26" at the shoulders - a big boy! I am attaching a photo of my husband Rod and our "lapdog" taken about 3 months ago. Truly, Jenny D.
